We have been working diligently to adjust our protocols to provide a safe and comfortable environment for chair massage. The health and safety policies below are set in accordance with the Florida Department of Health as well as the CDC recommendations for best practices.
By appointment only: All chair massage sessions are by appointment only: we are not offering walk-in appointments. This is needed for two reasons: 1) Appointments are spaced out to allow social distancing and to prevent crowding in the massage area. 2) To provide extra time between each session for an enhanced cleaning and disinfecting of the entire massage area and our massage equipment.
Arrive on Time: if you arrive early at your location (and aren’t planning to shop or dine before your massage) please wait in your car or on the sheltered patio until 5-minutes before your appointment time.
Wear a Mask: Masks are required to be worn by ALL massage therapists & clients before, during and after each “hands-on chair massage session”.
Agree to a Temperature Check: Below 99.5 is able to receive a massage.
Use ComplimentaryHand Sanitizer: All therapists and clients will be required to use hand sanitizer (we provide 60-95% alcohol based sanitizer) before massage and after your massage session.
Massage area: Only clients receiving chair massage will be allowed in or around the chair massage area. We ask clients to maintain distancing guidelines of 6 feet before and after your chair massage session.
Book your Session in Advance: All sign-ups must be booked through our new on-line appointment system. Book here: www.take5massage.as.me.
COVID-19: Therapists and clients who have experienced symptoms similar to COVID-19, who live with someone who has symptoms, or have been exposed need to self-quarantine for 14 days before coming into the chair massage area to give or receive massage.
Massage therapy work involves maintained touch and close proximity over a period of time. Please be aware, because of this, there may be an elevated risk of disease transmission, including COVID-19.
Take 5 Massage LLC MM35004, MM21899, MM22138, MM12283
Sign-Up: We’re a walk-in service so when you arrive at our location, be sure to Sign Up. Check out the menu and choose which massage you would like to receive. If you are undecided, talk to our therapists and they will be happy to make a recommendation.
Extra time: You can add extra time to your massage in 5 minute increments when you sign-in. (You may also be able to add extra time while in the chair if no one is waiting). Some of our customers routinely add time to their chosen massage. Ask your therapist about pricing.
Set up: Give us a few minutes between each customer to thoroughly clean and sanitize our massage chairs so we can prepare for you, before you take a seat.
Feedback: Let your therapist know if you feel stressed, sore or tender, have a headache or back, neck or shoulder pain, Your therapist can then tailor your massage to your needs.
Comfort: At any time, ask your therapist to adjust the pressure and/or to re-adjust the chair during your massage if you are feeling any discomfort. Sometimes when you begin the relax, the chair may need an additional adjustment.
Our mission at Take 5 Massage is to ensure that your chair massage is a great experience, EVERY time. Thank you for being a customer and remember, we are always happy to hear from YOU!
Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to celebrate your relationships: romantic partners, close friends, family, and friends from work and play. Friendships, an important part of life, enrich and sustain us. Friendships are also great for your health! Studies show that friendships increase happiness, boost confidence, reduce stress, improve our lives more than any other types of relationships. A 2005 Australian Longitudinal Study of Aging found that close relationships with children and other relatives had little impact on longevity. People with the most friends tended to outlive those with fewer by as much as 22 percent.
Friends are good for your body and your soul. Rather than spending more time scrolling through Facebook, consider adding years to your life by spending quality time with your friends, old and new.
5 Ways to Create and Nurture Friendships
1. Call a friend, set up a date to meet and catch up. Coffee, lunch, a movie, a museum visit are great ways to relax and deepen your friendship. If your friend is long distance, schedule a call.
2. Send a Valentine to a single friend in appreciation of your friendship. Valentine’s Day can be lonely, especially someone who is single, recently lost a partner or ended a relationship.
3. Write a personal note to someone who really helped you out last year. Acts of kindness and support can be integral to recovering from an illness, dealing with the loss of a job, or a weathering a financial hardship.
4. Make new friends: attend a club meeting, join a meet-up group or take a class that interests you. Many long-lasting relationships revolve around shared values and interests.
5. Offer to volunteer for community organization whose work you admire. Volunteers will often be out-going and care deeply about others. They can inspire you and make great friends.
If the secret to long life is friendship, then what’s the secret to forming great, long-lasting friendships? The secret is BE the kind of person and friend you’d like to have and spend time with.

Want to improve your health, lose weight, build strength, improve flexibility, make more money, start a business, start a relationship, learn something new? Putting your “resolutions” in writing is a great first step to identify and clarify your goals. Next break your goals into smaller, achievable goals and then track your progress over time. With motivation, perspiration, and perseverance you just might get there. This method definitely works, but not for all goals and not for all people.
Consider instead, the creative more circular path of inspiration. Since motivation typically comes from outside yourself, it requires structure, reinforcement and a bit of pushing through to achieve a goal. Inspiration, on the other hand inspiration is an internal force that generates its own energy and literally pulls you forward. Inspiration comes to you, and when you experience it, you know it!
Inspiration can be found in many places. It comes through things you read, see, or hear, or even through someone you meet. Consciously create some “white space” for yourself to experience inspiration. Inspiration can come from being in nature, listening to music or a podcast, browsing, seeing a movie or watching a video, reading a book or magazine, seeing a play or a concert, traveling, taking a class. Activities invite inspiration too. Ride a bike, paint, garden, bake, swim, dance, sing, do yoga, explore new places. Create the space and let inspiration find you.
As an experiment, create your 2020 list, review it a couple of times, then put it away and forget it. Yep, forget about it! For a whole year! In January of 2021 pull out your 2020 list and compare it to your actual year. You might find yourself amazed.

Have you ever wondered how moms do what they do? We have. How do they nurture a family, run a household, pursue a career, teach and mold minds, monitor behavior, juggle relationships PLUS provide a bunch of free ride-shares?
Parenthood is hard. The daily mashup of work, love, and focus exceeds those of any full-time, lifelong, demanding job. A recent study found that moms work an average of 98 hours per week, with an average of only 17 minutes a day of free time for themselves. That works out to just under 2 hours a week available for self-care. The daily multi-tasking, juggling everyone’s schedules, and adjusting to shifting priorities contributes to stress, tension, over-exertion, and overwhelm. We notice how often moms (and dads) find their way into our massage chairs seeking relief from stress, fatigue, tension, headaches and/or backaches. The necessity of self-care, time-out, relaxation and rest for moms (and dads) can’t be overemphasized; nor can the importance of gratitude and appreciation for all they do, be over-stated.
