Take 5 Massage Health and Safety Protocols for Chair Massage

We have implemented our cleaning and sanitizing protocols to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for your chair massage. The health and safety policies below are set in accordance with the Florida Department of Health as well as the CDC recommendations for best practices.

By appointment only: All chair massage sessions are by appointment only: walk-in appointments are occasionally available if there has been a cancellation.

1) Appointments are spaced out to allow social distancing and to prevent crowding in the massage area.

2) Appointment times are scheduled to ensure extra time between each session for enhanced cleaning and disinfecting of the entire massage area and massage equipment.

Arrive on Time: if you arrive early at your location (and aren’t planning to shop or dine before your massage) there is limited seating available in the cafe area. Make sure your therapist is aware you are waiting.

Masks: Effective June 1st 2021. According to guidance from the CDC, fully vaccinated customers and massage therapists are no longer required to wear a face mask in the massage area. We request that Individuals who are not fully vaccinated, continue to wear a mask in the massage area for their own safety and the safety of others.

Agree to a Temperature Check: Below 99.5 you are able to receive a massage.

Use Complimentary Hand Sanitizer: All therapists and clients will be required to use hand sanitizer (we provide 60-95% alcohol-based sanitizer) before your chair massage and after your chair massage.

Massage area: Only clients receiving chair massage will be allowed in or around the chair massage area. We ask clients to maintain distancing guidelines of at least 6 feet before and after your chair massage session.

Book your Session in Advance: All sign-ups must be booked through our new on-line appointment system. Book here: This link is available on home page of our website and also published in our bi-weekly e-newsletter.

COVID-19: Therapists and/or clients who have experienced symptoms similar to COVID-19, who live with someone who experiencing symptoms, or have been exposed, need to self-quarantine for 14 days before coming into the chair massage area to give or receive massage.

Massage therapy work involves maintained touch and close proximity over a period of time. Please be aware, because of this, there may be an elevated risk of disease transmission, including COVID-19.
